The SubTerranean II CBLX is installed under the sink, and out of the way of busy kitchen activity. The two stage system includes a five micron prefilter to capture any sediment, rust, dirt and particulate matter, followed by the TerraFil CBLX. The SubTerranean II CBLX is designed for water quality with excessive sediment, and like all our SubTerranean models, comes complete with all the necessary hardware and installation instructions for easy, "do-it-yourself" installation. Included is a separate third faucet with chrome fountain head and white accents, in addition to an inlet line connector and mounting hardware. The inlet line connector is a piece of hardware G.E.T. supplies called a saddle valve. Please note that the saddle valve cannot be used on plastic pipe or flexible tubing. The TerraFil SED, sediment prefilter is recommended to be replaced every three months to prevent premature clogging of your main filter cartridge. The TerraFil CBLX is recommended to be replaced annually, or if the water flow diminishes prior to a year, whichever comes first.
Three stages of protection makes the SubTerranean III the most comprehensive system available in its class. The 5 micron sediment prefilter removes sediment, rust, dirt and particulate matter which protects and extends the life of the second and third stages. Contained in the second filter stage is a cleanable absolute 0.9 micron ceramic filter. The final stage contains the TerraFil CBLX. The TerraFil SED prefilter is recommended to be replaced every three months to prevent premature clogging of your main filter cartridge. The TerraFil CER ceramic filter is recommended to be replaced every year. The TerraFil CBLX is recommended to be replaced annually.
